A VIRAL WEDDING

RATING
3.5 Star popcorn reviewss

This review is an absolute bonus. I had a day in between new releases this week and I thought to watch and review something randomly. Another of those handpicked series that have been quite frequent off late. This lockdown has seen cinema evolve. Not only has many movies taken a liking to an OTT platform but the lockdown has also been a central theme for many series namely The Gone Game and Wakaalat From Home or even a movie like C U Soon. Based on the same theme, I have finished watching the series A Viral Wedding on Eros Now. Should you attend this wedding, stay tuned.

A Viral Wedding is the story of Nisha and Rishabh who plan to get married until lockdown strikes in the view of the pandemic. That is when the couple decide to get married online. The story is unique simply because I have friends who have traversed a similar route. The screenplay is a little slow to begin with but soon picks up pace. The twists and turns are subtle that will keep you invested in the drama. Here, I need to mention that there is definitely a limitation in this sort of a format, but the good bit is that each episode is barely 8 mins long, so it is a really quick view. The dialogues are routine. Shreya Dhawanthary who debuts as a director has done a good job in this tricky little format.

The performance comprise of a stellar cast. Mohit Raina adds a lot of star power to this drama. Aritro Rudraneil Banerjee as Imitiaz is full of energy. Aishwarya Chaudhary as Aditi is the find of the show for me. She is so natural. Sharib Hashmi as Ujjwal Pujari yet again shows why he is such a fine actor. His one liners are outstanding. Sunny Hinduja as Nishant has done a fantastic job. Amol Parashar as Rishabh is an underrated actor and here he puts his best foot forward. Shreya Dhanwanthary as Nisha is outstanding, she nails each emotion doubling it with right amount of expressions. A commendable work by all actors during the lockdown.

Standing at 8 episodes of roughly 8 mins long, A Viral Wedding is a good and a quick watch. A breezy story with a stellar cast! Available on Eros Now.
