Worst Films of 2024

In 2024, there were good films and then films that tested our patience. Here is a list of films that made us go bonkers.

Check out the full list below:

Crakk follows the story of a man from the slums entering the world of extreme sports while trying to imitate the path of his dead brother. Will he succeed? The story is divided into two parts for me – good action(although patchy editing) and everything else ridiculously bad and cringe worthy to a point that I felt like ‘crakk’ing my skull open… Read More…

Silence 2 follows the story behind the investigation that takes place following a shootout at a local bar. Who is the culprit and who was the target along with a bunch of revelations is what forms the crux of the drama. The story here is so sketchy and so elementary along with being cringe-worthy and unintentionally laughable that I was face-palming throughout the course of the film… Read More…

Bhaiyya Ji is a simple revenge saga featuring Bhaiyya Ji(oh too many Bhaiyya Jis) who has lost his step brother in a freak accident only to get to know that it was a murder following a trivial fight. Up against him is Chandrabhan, a powerful man himself who is seen butchering a girl in his introductory scene… Read More…

Bloody Ishq follows the story of a woman recovering from amnesia who is haunted by the presence of a mysterious spirit in the lonely mansion owned by her husband. Will she get to the bottom of this mess? The story here is so routine in the horror genre with such regular tropes of cringe – like creaking doors or people randomly making out with each other, that it became a task to literally sit through this mess,.. Read More…

Ghudchadi follows the story of Chirag who falls in love with Devika only to later realise that his single father Veer was previously in a relationship with Devika’s single mother, and that their romance may have rekindled again. Such is the absurdity of the plot that even a delicate issue of complexities in a relationship is conveniently passed off like a comedy that is so cringe-worthy that it will make you want to slap yourself… Read More…

The premise of Yudhra is an amalgamation of various subplots from various films that you have seen. If you don’t believe me, observe this pattern – a young protagonist having anger management issues (Animal) grows up to be a biker while racing on the streets of Mumbai (Dhoom) only to be sent to a Cadet academy by his foster parent in order to help him find his goal in life (Lakshya)… Read More…

Indian 2 follows the story of a group of youngsters who decide to trend ‘#ComebackIndian’ on twitter in order to send an SOS to Senapathy in the wake of the growing corruption that is prevalent in the country. And Senapathy obliges(while I wonder why🙈). The story here is absolutely nonsensical and just so fragmented even from a storytelling point of view… Read More…

The premise of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is just like its title – long and unfunny. The story of two individuals who are in love and finally get married against all *ridiculous* odds despite differences in their caste and stature,…..I’ll pause here for a minute to tell you that this detail never finds its way in the narrative again………..get married… Read More…

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that I had already watched the whole film Singham Again, once I was done watching its 5 minute long trailer. Not only did the trailer reveal all the cameos in store along with their entries, it gave me a fair idea of the amount of spoon-feeding it was resorting to. I mean there could have been a case wherein the viewers would draw parallels themselves and discover the underlying theme of the Ramayana… Read More…

The literal concept of reincarnation on celluloid isn’t a novel one by any stretch of imagination. And immediately, this template (no, not the story just the template) reminded me of the Sushant Singh Rajput-Kriti Sanon starrer Raabta, wherein the current timeline of visions disrupting the life of a character, traces its roots to years in the past wherein the existing characters are different life forms… Read More…
