Bekhayali mein bhi tera,
Hi khayaal aaye,
Kyun bichhadna hai zaroori,
Yeh sawaal aaye.
The song that begins with a heartbreak soons explodes into a volcano of emotions that is associated with a toxic relationship. I heard this for the first time when I was going through a plethora of emotions filled with anger and angst which was hard to explain. Each word was relatable that just kept piercing my heart like a knife yet was soothing in a strange way.
How often have we seen people falling in love only to lose their mind once they lose the one person that they love. It may well be for the better but they are totally shattered at that point, sometimes to the point of no return! The more one thinks about it, the more the emotions start boiling, leading to nothing but self destruction. You often tend to cling on to it a little bit longer without letting go, which does shatter you in a way such that you lose a part of yourself which perhaps you would never get back! As the lines say…
Main jo tumse door hun,
Kyun door main rahu,
Aa tu faasla mita,
Tu khwaab sa mila,
Kyun khwaab tod dun.
It is almost like punishing yourself each day for the things that were beyond your control by losing appetite or randomly punching walls or selectively listening to sad songs on your playlist, often revisiting the situations which you could have changed. And more often than not, you end up brooding, letting go of opportunities to perhaps fall in love again!
I would be lying if I say I wasn’t going through any of this stuff. Only difference being, I did not give up like Kabir had(in the movie). It is imperative to keep fighting with yourself, channelising that anger and coming out victorious. Each day is a new day and with it comes a new opportunity. Fight on and remember to love her only upto a point till she doesn’t become your ‘aadat’ !! Listening to these lines just charges me up every single time, making me even more determined to push my limits to succeed in life….
Nazaron ke aage har ek manzar,
Ret ki tarah bikhar raha hai,
Dard tumhara badan mein mere,
Zehar ki tarah utar raha hai,
Aa zamane, aazma le, roothta nahi,
Faaslon se hausla yeh toot ta nahi.
