Introduction

Schitt’s Creek is a Canadian TV sitcom, scheduled from January 2015 to April 2020. A total of 80 episodes across 16 seasons take you to a ride with family drama, love, and romance. Eugene and Dan Levy depicted the story of a wealthy family facing the downfall of financial crisis. The journey of this family and people around them, brings a lot of drama, humour, and emotions to live along.

STORY & SCREENPLAY

Season 1: In season 1, the story starts to shape with opening plots and introduction of all the characters in the show. In this season we find that all the characters even after facing turmoil in their life were accepting the new environment and later in episodes appreciating the efforts. It is very exciting and engaging to see all the characters in the show evolving, plus additional drama of course.

Season 2: In this season the characters start to show their own traits and develop from the situation. The acting of start cast is brilliant, you will feel that is their real personality. The struggle to get out of the Schitt’s Creek town had been portrayed very dominantly in both season 1 and 2. The series starts with the first episode as Finding David where they find him living with the Amish.

Season 3 and 4: Although Schitt’s Creek has shown acceptance to homosexuality throughout the season, but in season 3 and 4 the character of homosexuality is explored. First time in the TV series, the gay concept is accepted without any fuss and showed how happy the people are when they are allowed to be themselves. Everyone in the series are so acceptable to the homosexuality and loved for that. In Season 3 and 4, David shows mixed interest with both female (Stevie) and male (Patrick). The funniest and unfortunate event was when Stevie and David were dating same man, for a short period of time. The acceptance towards all flaws in a person is fantastic.

Season 5 and 6: These two last seasons were portraying the end of the wonderful journey of Schitt’s Creek. I won’t say happy ending but a beautiful journey ahead. In these seasons we see Alexis and David grow with the opportunity in both love and professional life. Alexis came out of a big commitment and accepted the journey ahead to struggle for better future. Whereas for David, happily married to Patrick and realized love always has upper hand over all materialistic things in the world.

PERFORMANCE & CONCLUSION

Well, well well!!!!!!!! Even when I am writing I can still feel the effect of the cast in Schitt’s Creek. They are amazing and I am so touched, how the writers have showed current dilemmas and the actors have just played their role like they are living it. I am sad that it has come to an end. I seriously recommend watching Schitt’s Creek, it has so many learning with fun and drama. In the beginning when the characters are finding themselves, it might strike as slow, but after season 1, the series is a hit. I also recommend watching Schitt’s Creek Best Wishes, Warmest regards: Farewell in Netflix. I was amazed to find out how many people are affected by this series, and ‘I am not alone’.
