Acting performances and direction

It is evident that Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat is a showcase for Arjun Rampal to exhibit his talent. Even though its his debut film, Arjun looks dashing and emotes with utmost sincerity. He’s handled the emotional moments with maturity, which is so rare for a first-timer.

Sunil Shetty is subdued, while Aftab Shivdasani has an edge thanks to his lovable characterisation. Kirti Reddy has also done a good job. Monica Bedi, Isha Koppikar, Harish Patel and Dalip Tahil have done well in supporting roles.

Music

The music of Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat deserves praise. It is one of the more versatile albums ever composed by Viju Shah. The film carries melodious, but very modernized songs, this album leaves everyone pleased. This is Viju Shah’s most experimental album. He has tried hard to incorporate some natural instruments into his songs

Conclusion

Even though Pyar Ishq Aur Mohabbat failed miserably at the box office in 2001, the film is still remembered for Arjun Rampal’s debut and melodious soundtrack. Even after 20 years of its release, the music appeals to the listeners and this has also given the film a cult following. It was also a brave attempt by director Rajiv Rai to make a Romantic drama instead of an action thriller, a genre that gave him remarkable success.
